Schools replacing diesel buses with EPA grants

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded grants to Iowa schools to replace diesel school buses.

Three of those schools are in Linn and Benton Counties. The EPA gave $20 thousand each to Benton Community, Linn Mar and North Linn Schools.

The EPA started this program seven years ago to help districts replace diesel buses. Since then, it's awarded $39 million in rebates to replace nearly two thousand school buses in the country.
