Many children rely on school lunches as a significant source of nutrition during a given day. So, some eastern Iowa school districts are offering meals for pick-up during the extended time away from classes due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Benton Community School District
The district has partnered with local community organizations to arrange sack lunches for kids aged 1 to 18. Families should call (319) 228-8701 Extension 119 or
with the number of lunches they will need to help make sure there are enough to go around. Sacks include a breakfast item for the next day.
