CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Donations made in red kettles across Linn County, up to a total of $7,074, will be matched this Saturday, the Cedar Rapids Salvation Army announced.

The matching funds will come from members of the advisory board for the organization in Cedar Rapids. The goal for the annual holiday season campaign is $763,000, of which about 20 percent of the total has already been raised.

The Salvation Army provides community programs for those in need. Donations are taken during the winter holiday season through red kettles at retail locations, as well as through the mail and online.
