Reynolds re-launching 'See Something, Say Something' campaign
Governor Kim Reynolds said Iowa's current gun laws are reasonable and responsible. But she says the federal government needs to play a larger role in future gun regulations after last week's Florida school shooting.
"But I think there's things that the federal government has a role to play. They need to look at what they can do to strengthen background checks. A large part of this discussion lies with them. They need to take the responsibility to do some things," Reynolds said.
Reynolds is also unveiling the re-launch of the "See Something, Say Something" campaign.
She's encouraging Iowans to report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement. That campaign will use messages on radio, billboards, and posters throughout the state.
