Hopefully you were able to take advantage of the mild and pleasant conditions over the weekend, because the start of the workweek will be a far cry from what we enjoyed. As clouds thicken up this evening, rain will become likely overnight and early on Monday morning. A wintry mix is possible in our northeastern counties, along the Mississippi.

Rain will continue through a good portion of the day, before changing over to snow north of Highway 30 in the afternoon. Accumulations will be most likely in our northern counties, and amounts will drop off quickly the farther south you live.

Also, be ready for some very windy conditions. Southeasterly winds could gust over 40 mph! As temperatures chill down into the 30s for highs on Tuesday, the upper level area of low pressure will be moving through, giving us scattered snow showers through the day.
