CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The wind finally backs down Friday night, leaving us with a seasonable mid-March weekend. Lows fall to the lower 20s overnight under a partly cloudy sky. Partial sunshine continues Saturday with highs close to 40.
A weak disturbance may bring scattered light rain or flurries Saturday evening and night, but that system looks moisture-starved and shouldn't do much, if anything. Plan on a partly cloudy sky and highs in the middle 40s on St. Patrick's Day.
Next week looks mainly dry across eastern Iowa. Temperatures gradually rise through the week from the 40s Monday and Tuesday to the 50s from Wednesday onward. This stretch of dry weather is just what we need after a significant snowmelt.
