Precautionary drinking water advisory in place for part of northeast Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The City of Cedar Rapids is asking people affected by a water main break on the northeast side of Cedar Rapids to consider boiling their water.

While a boil order isn't in place, the City of Cedar Rapids is asking people to consider it when using water for personal consumption or to drink bottled water.

The precautionary drinking water advisory is in place until the city receives bacteria sampling back, which is expected by noon today.
