Police say woman in Marion was not missing Univ. of Iowa student

Authorities say a woman spotted in eastern Iowa was not Mollie Tibbetts.

TV9 reached out to authorities after a Facebook post was circulating on social media about a potential sighting of Mollie Tibbetts in Marion, Iowa at a gas station.

Tom Daubs from the Marion Police Department says the report was investigated and found to be in error. Daubs said officers on the scene determined it wasn't Tibbetts.

The 20-year-old University of Iowa Student has not been seen since nearly three weeks ago on July 18.
