Person injured in motorcycle accident

One person is injured after a motorcycle accident on June 4 in Galena, Illinois.
Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Deputies were called to West Council Hill Road one mile west of North Birkbeck Road for a motorcycle accident with injuries at 6:23 p.m. Ryan P. Furlong struck a deer on the roadway causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and overturn it in the ditch. Furlong was transported by Galena EMS to the Midwest Medical Center. From there, he was flown by REACT from Mid West Medical to Rockford Memorial Hospital for further treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
