People injured after house fire in Cedar Rapids
Three people are hurt after an early morning house fire in Cedar Rapids.
Firefighters were called to 877 Daniels Street Northeast around 5:15 a.m. Saturday. Authorities found the found side of the two-story home engulfed in flames.
Officials say a person jumped from the second floor to escape the fire. Firefighters had to help that person away from the fire in the front lawn.
Two women and one man were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries. Officials tell TV9 one has serious injuries.
The three are displaced from the home. Firefighters also say the smoke detectors were not working.
The fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross is assisting.
