CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Plan on a few slick spots on area roads after our first accumulating snow of the season continues to move east and away from us. There is a low chance of additional development today, however, the bigger weather story will be on the plummeting temperatures later today into tonight.
Highs for the day will occur around mid-late morning, then quickly fall to around 20 degrees by 6pm. At the same time, wind will be increasing, with wind chills down as low as 5 degrees this evening!
Plan on a dry weekend, though chilly conditions will definitely dominate.
Next week, plan on another Arctic front to hit Monday morning. Have a great weekend!
