Dubuque Street reopens following accident investigation in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City police say Dubuque Street, between Church and Brown Streets, has reopened following an investigation into a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

No other details have been released.

Authorities responded to a report of a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident at 9:24 a.m. Thursday.

Sergeant Derek Frank said Dubuque Street between Brown Street and Church Street is closed in both directions until further notice.

Police have not said what the extent of the pedestrian's injuries are as they are still investigating.

Authorities are not sure at this point how long they expect the road to be closed.

People should avoid the area if possible.
