Overnight fog followed by afternoon wind

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -- Warmer air moves into the state as a lighter south-southeast wind blows in. Patchy areas of fog will be possible overnight into Thursday morning. A cold front swings across the area during the afternoon, switching the wind to the northwest. Strong winds following this system will cause some limited blowing snow in rural and open areas, but not to the extent of Tuesday. Friday features a colder day with a below zero wind chill. Snow returns to the forecast on Sunday. Have a great night.
