Months after dozens of low income residents moved out of the Rose Oaks Apartments in Iowa City, a new vision for the property is taking shape.

It appears the property at 2401 Highway 6 will soon be renamed "The Quarters at Iowa City." A website promises the property will soon be converted to a "resort style housing community."

"The Quarters Iowa City is a new resort-style community built specifically with the needs and wants of college students in mind," the site says.

Dozens of families were forced to vacate the property last summer after they were informed owners would not renew their leases. The move shined a spotlight on the lack of affordable housing in the community and led to widespread protests involving residents and local officials.

NFL player and former Hawkeye Chad Greenway is seen in a video on the property's website promoting the yet to be completed project.

"You're going to have fun at this place, you're going to have success, you're going to push the limits and try to continue that success out of college," Greenway says in a video about The Quarters. "This is a whole new way of experiencing college."
