North Liberty man accused of robbing woman at gunpoint, 2014 crime

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Investigators say a North Liberty man used a gun to rob his neighbor's apartment.

Court documents say Beauhannon Walker knocked on an apartment door on November 8 at 9 p.m., pointed a gun at a woman's head, and entered her apartment.

Walker is accused of then telling the woman to lay face down on the bed while he searched through the apartment.

Investigators say he took $40 in cash and a belt.

He's charged with first-degree robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

When he was arrested for the crimes and in custody of a peace officer at the Johnson County Jail, he ran from the peace officer and couldn't be found immediately.

He was charged with escape from custody - felon.

Investigators also believe Walker was involved in a sexual abuse case from more than three years ago.

Court documents show he had sex with a woman without her consent while she was asleep.

It happened at a friend's apartment in Iowa City on February 9, 2014. Walker is charged with third-degree sexual abuse.
