NORWAY, Iowa (KCRG) -- No serious injuries were reported following an accident involving a Benton Community School District bus and two other vehicles Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 1:15 p.m. Friday near the intersection of 77th Street Drive and 28th Avenue southwest of Norway. School district officials said that the bus had left Norway Elementary School and was headed to Blairstown with approximately 40 students on board when the accident happened.
Deputies say the bus first collided with a Benton County road grader and then collide with a van parked on the side of the road. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
No students were injured, but the bus driver was taken to a hospital to be checked out. Some students were picked up by their parents, while others were taken on to Blairstown by another bus.
The accident remains under investigation.
