DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - New parking options are available for residents and visitors to Dubuque's historic Millwork District.
The City of Dubuque announced that a new 81-space lot had finished construction and would be open to a public on Friday, Dec. 7. In addition, an existing 82-space lot which was permit-only will now be opened for public parking on Monday, Dec. 17.
The city will be exploring possibilities for changing the lots into paid parking, though the implementation isn't expected until spring.
The new lot is located at 11th and Elm Street, and the old lot is at 9th and Elm Street.
Both will have a four-hour limit between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday.
Parking beyond that time limit would be subject to a $10 ticket. Nights and weekends will have unlimited parking.
