A Sunday morning fire forced six residents of a Cedar Falls duplex out of their homes.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports it happened just after 6 a.m. at 2516 Tremont Street. Fire officials said everyone got out safely.

Firefighters said the fire started in a wall in the downstairs bathroom of the two-story structure. Investigators said they have not determined a cause.

Officials said one apartment sustained fire damage and the other sustained smoke and water damage.
