The Miracle League just learned on Wednesday it's receiving a $500,000 grant from the Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) Committee of Iowa. This gets the group to their grand total of $3.6 million.

Board President Merle Santjer said the group hopes to start construction this Spring of 2019 and open that following Fall.

The park will be located at Veterans Memorial Park in Dubuque. It will include an all-inclusive playground, new restrooms and concession stands, a family plaza, picnic area and a Hall of Fame Boulevard.
