Mild and sunny start to the workweek on Monday
High pressure is settling into eastern Iowa this evening, keeping our skies clear and our winds light. This will help in cooling us down into the 40s by early Monday morning. The start of workweek will be quiet and pleasant with more sunshine, and temperatures back in 70s for both Monday and Tuesday. Our next system is set to arrive by mid-week. Late Tuesday night, showers and storms will become likely, with rain chances continuing through most of Wednesday. As it looks now, severe weather potential is very low with this round of thunderstorms. Thursday looks dry as of now, but more storms are possible as we head into Friday and Saturday. These will be welcome rains for central and southern areas of eastern Iowa, which are in a deficit for spring rainfall.
