Michigan school holds boys track snow meet

CALUMET, Michigan (KCRG-TV9) -- After a snowstorm that gave the Upper Penninsula around 38 inches of snow, one track team decided to take advantage of the winter weather.

Calumet High School in the Upper Penninsula decided to hold their first annual Calumet boys track snow meet on Thursday.

Houghton County where Calumet is located has had 304 inches of snow this season as of April 18.

During the snowstorm, Northern Michigan University even closed for three days.

Other parts of Michigan have received as much as 331 inches of snow this season.
