Marine veteran to run more than 150 miles for Alzheimer's research

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - An Eastern Iowa runner plans to run more than 150 miles after Christmas for Alzheimer’s research.

That man is Chris Cantrell of Cedar Rapids.

He will be running non-stop from December 26-28 at We Run in Cedar Rapids. He will start at noon on the 26th.

During that time people can come there to make donations or run next to him on a treadmill.

Cantrell knows first hand the effects of Alzheimer’s and dementia. His father-in-law has dementia. He says his family takes care of him.
