March for Babies moves indoors for first time because of cold
This year, Coralville's annual March for Babies won't involve a march.
The weather is going to be too chilly, so it's moving inside to the Coralville Marriott.
It's the first time ever it has happened.
The executive director for the March of Dimes, Lindsey Gruber, said organizers worried about children being out in the cold. She said they're still excited about the event.
"Rather than taking off on a walk route, we're going to ask everyone to join in the festivities, hang out for a couple of hours, do some activities and games and enjoy some hot chocolate and coffee and just make it a celebration," said Lindsey Gruber.
The event goes from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7.
