Maddie Poppe up for People's Choice Award

LOS ANGELES, Cali. (KCRG) - Iowa's own Maddie Poppe is up for an award at the People's Choice Awards.

Poppe is a Clarksville native who is competing against 11 other nominees in "The Competition Contestant of 2018" category.

Poppe was the winner of American Idol in May 2018 and is currently on tour with the other top seven artists of the competition.

The show American Idol is also up for the "Revial Show of 2018" and "Competition Show of 2018."

People are able to vote for the people and shows nominated for awards by visiting https://pca.eonline.com/.

A maximum of 25 votes per category is allowed per day.

On September 24 the top five finalists for each category will be revealed and polls will open for the second round of voting.

The awards will air on November 11 on E!.
