CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Scattered light rain showers and possibly a handful of flurries will linger into the overnight hours, mainly before midnight. Something that won't end quite yet is the wind, which will be from the northwest at 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts. Lows fall to near 30.
On Friday, the day starts with clouds but the sky will be clearing for the afternoon. That northwest wind remains stiff and gusty, keeping highs in the upper 30s. The weekend looks seasonable for mid-March with partial sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 40s.
A welcome stretch of dry weather is expected through next week, which means that high rivers won't be aggravated further than what they already will be. Highs are going to be in the 40s to start off the week with 50s in the second half of the week.
