LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG=TV9) -- By 8:15 a.m. the lane was reopened.

The Iowa Department of Transportation, Linn County Sheriff's Deputies, Central City Fire Department, and Center Point Ambulance responded to a report of a semi on its side on Highway 13 and Indian Bridge Road at 4:08 a.m. on February 13.

Responders found a grain semi lost control and tipped on its side after going into the median.

The semi tipping caused the corn to spill onto the highway.

The driver of the semi, Kody Orcutt, 21, of Earlville was taken to St. Lukes Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

No one else was involved in the accident and Orcutt was wearing his seatbelt.

A lane of southbound Highway 13 will be closed until the semi and corn is removed.
