CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -- He was the first Democrat to announce his bid for the White House. And Saturday, John Delaney was back in Cedar Rapids to open a campaign office.

Delaney hosted a sort of town hall there Saturday morning, where anyone was welcome to ask questions about the campaign.

Delaney said, if elected, he would work for universal health care and education reform. He also believes college should be more affordable and pre-school should be available to each family.

Delaney says Iowa is key to his campaign.

"I've been to all 99 counties and we have 24 people on the ground now and I've really had the great opportunity to travel around the state and listen to Iowans and talk about our future."

The campaign will soon have offices in Des Moines, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Sioux City, and Waterloo.
