Iowa State Patrol clocks speeder at 118mph

Slow down! That's the message Iowa State Patrol wanted to spread with their Facebook post on Friday.

It showed a picture from inside a patrol car, where a trooper clocked a driver going 118 miles per hour recently in Cedar Falls.

State Patrol says the driver claimed he or she had to use the bathroom, but the trooper says the driver had passed by three gas stations in the last seven miles.

went on to say there have been 72 fatalities on Iowa roadways so far this year, which is one more than the 5 year average.
