The Iowa DNR is reminding people all ice fishing shelters must be removed by February 20.
Permanent ice shelters have to be removed from all state-owned lands and waters by that date in Iowa.
Ice shelter owners are reminded not to wait until the deadline to take their shelter off the ice.
The Iowa DNR says if the shelter falls through the ice, the person who owns the shelter must retrieve it from the lake.
