CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - An intersection in downtown Cedar Rapids is now back to a four-way stop.

The Cedar Rapids City Council voted Tuesday to make 2nd Avenue and 5th Street SE a four-way stop. That's the intersection right outside the TV9 studios.

Before the change, only drivers along 2nd Avenue had to stop.

The city says it did a traffic analysis and decided changing to a four-way stop would make the intersection safer.
