CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG TV9)-- A group in Linn County is coming together to pray and mediate for immigrants and refugees in wake of Trump's controversial travel ban.

The Inter-Religious Council of Linn County held a prayer service Thursday night.

The Catherine McCauley Center's immigrant and refugee coordinator was the featured speaker tonight. She spoke about the different educational services the center provides for people new to the United States.

Also, people joined together to say prayers of 10 different religions, including Islam. Organizers say it's important to support people of all faiths.
