IA Sec. of State's office releases election security video
The Iowa Secretary of State's office has released an animated video explaining the election process and efforts to protect the integrity of elections.
"There are a lot of details involved in the election process that most Iowans never see. It’s important that voters know we are dedicated to ensuring their votes are counted and their voices are heard,” Secretary Paul Pate said.
The video shows the steps state and local election officials take to secure elections, including physical security of voting sites, and the role of poll workers, paper ballots, and voting equipment.
The Sec. of State's office partnered with U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to create the video, which was paid for by the 2018 Help America Vote Act Election Security Fund.
