Holiday lighting displays in eastern Iowa

With the holiday season underway, many people have put up holiday lights.

To get into the holiday spirit, viewers have asked if we will compile a list of displays to see in eastern Iowa. You can find it below.

Anamosa:

907 E. 2nd Street

-17,000 lights are synced to Christmas music and were designed and programmed by a 13-year-old. The show runs Sunday-Thursday from 5:30-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30-10 p.m.

414 E. 5th Street

-This display features 15,000 lights and many inflatables. A long-time tradition, this display has been around for over 40 years.

Cedar Rapids:

1251 Staub Ct NE

-This display is on now through New Year's Day from dusk until 8-8:30 p.m.

Hall Road NE

-THree homes are a part of this display, with many lights, arches, and figures. The lights will be displayed until December 31 and are lit from 5:30-10:30 p.m.

7015 Parkdale Lane NE

-Aside from lights Santa also hands out candy canes to families that drive by. Pictures with Santa are allowed if he is there when you visit.

1238 Maplewood Drive NE

-Beyond the bright projector lights, this house has a multiple holiday slide projector as well. This house also features a few animals and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

5401 Gordon Ave NW

1606 20th Street NW

-These lights are displayed from 5-10 p.m. Monday through Friday.

; 5401 Gordon Avenue NW

-This light show has 9 songs programmed to music that you can hear on 88.7 FM in your car. This year the display is taking donations for a woman who was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. You might even find someone handing out candy canes when you visit the display.

6416 Hoover Trail Road SW

-If you like Peanuts and a Charlie Brown Christmas this is the stop for you, as there are wood cutouts of the characters. The display also features other cutouts and lights that are set to music. The display runs from 5-10 p.m. daily.

Coralville:

'Candy Cane Lane'; 734 12th Ave.

-With a large 'Merry Christmas' sign in the yard, this house features red and white bulbs. If you're lucky you might see a live Santa at the display inside the sleigh.

Dubuque:

Louis Murphy Park; 1700 S Grandview Ave

-Cars are $10 at the gate and money raised goes to Hillcrest Family Services. The event runs daily until New Years Day from 5-10 p.m. and people who visit the light display on Monday's can even see Santa.

505 Primrose Court

-An annual event, this house has over 20,000 lights. This year the theme is blue and white, with different animals and other festive lights-including a tree.

Iowa City:

; 4477 Napolean Street SE

-There are over 15,000 channels programmed to this musical light display. Songs include “Let it Go” from the movie Frozen, “Baba Yetu” by Alex Boye and “Silent Night” performed by Mannheim Steamroller.

Manchester:

611 E. Butler Street

-This display has 147,000 lights in its display.

Marion:

2093 County Home Road

-This display features 25,000 lights that will be displayed until Dec. 31. They are lit from 5-10:30 p.m. and from 5:30-6:30 a.m.

Mount Pleasant:

-This display is open from 5:30- 9 p.m. until December 31. The lights are a mile long. The cost is $10 for a family vehicle, $15 for a mini van, $25 for a limo, $30 for a mini coach and $60 for a motor coach. You can meet Santa December 22 and 23.

North English:

225 North Campbell Street

-This display has 30 minutes of lights and music. It is displayed from 5-10 p.m. daily.

North Liberty:

Santa House; 1655 Red Barn Drive

Gingerbread House Lights; 500 Troon Court

Palo:

7 Thompson Drive

-This display is on from 5-10 p.m.

Solon:

1697 Newberry Ave NE

-Over 20,000 lights illuminate the sky sequenced to a 45-minute Christmas program that hopes to remind both young and old of the true meaning of Christmas.

Stanwood:

201 3rd Avenue

-The lights are synced to a radio station. The display runs 5:30-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5:30 p.m. - Midnight on Friday and Saturdays.

Sumner:

City Park

Tiffin:

230 Railroad Street

-This display has more than 75 lighted characters in the yard.

West Branch:

-The display features 104 individual light channels sequenced to 33 music tracks that are transmitted to an FM radio station and speakers.
