27-year-old Dwayne Spraggins, of Chicago; 28-year-old Lamark Green, of Hazel Crest; and 32-year-old Antwan Green, of Chicago; were arrested on charges of felony eluding and credit card forgery.

Previous story:

On June 29 around 10:08 a.m. Hiawatha police officers tried to stop a car associated with the fraudulent use of multiple stolen credit card numbers.

Authorities say the car left the parking lot of 300 Blairs Ferry Road after officers tried to block their ways out.

The car proceeded to go southbound on Center Point Road and authorities terminated their pursuit before 51st Street and Center Point Road.

The Iowa State Patrol Aircraft then took over observing the fleeing car.

Efforts were made to deploy tire deflation devices while the interstate continued southbound on Interstate 380 and then eastbound on Interstate 80.

At one point, the vehicle pulled over at a convenience store and switched drivers before fleeing again eastbound on Interstate 80.

The vehicle proceeded northeast after exiting Herbert Hoover Highway. Authorities say there was what appeared to be mechanical issues to the vehicle, and it slowed down to around 45 mph. Officers again tried to initiate a traffic stop.

The car then stopped before driving over a tire deflation device near West Branch High School.

The three people in the vehicle were arrested and taken to Hiawatha.

Multiple agencies assisted with the Iowa State Patrol during the chase.
