The National Weather Service says floods are the deadliest weather related killer in the United States. With several instances of flash flooding in eastern Iowa earlier today, experts are reminding drivers what to do to stay safe while traveling.
Captain Doug Doyle with the Cedar Rapids Police Department says they will increase their presence in and around bars in that area starting this weekend. They will also start enforcing a no-parking, tow-away zone from the corner of 2nd avenue to the corner of 3rd avenue from 9 p.m. on Saturday to 2 a.m. on Sunday.
