Gov. Reynolds signs bill to allow stun guns on college campuses

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) -- Governor Reynolds has signed a bill into law that allows students to carry stun guns on college campuses. This includes Iowa's three state universities -- Iowa State University, University of Iowa and University of Northern Iowa -- as well as community colleges.

Republicans say this is a way to keep students safe and reduce sexual assaults on campuses. Democrats say stun guns serve as a false sense of security.
