CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. (KCRG) - The Stewart-Baxter funeral invited people in on Wednesday to give people a chance to share their condolences to the late President George H.W. Bush.
At the head table, people could write their names or share stories on a card that will all later be shipped to the Bush Presidential Library.
Stewart-Baxter has funeral homes in Cedar Rapids, Mount Vernon, and Marion which received dozens of people.
"It's always tough for how do local people express their sympathy and grief." Funeral director Jacob Wittrock said. " I thought it would be a neat way for the community to come in, sign a book and share a memory if they want, we can send those memories onto the presidential library."
