Warner and his wife, Brenda, were part of a wall-raising for a family home in southwest Cedar Rapids.
The Warners also donated about $25,000 to the home's construction. They've been involved with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity for about the past decade.
Warner said they always enjoy helping people in need in his hometown.
"It's about coming back to where are roots are here in Iowa and being able to impact our communities that impacted us. And that's really what it's all about," Warner said.
Habitat for Humanity requires homeowners to volunteer their own time to help with the construction.
