DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff on Friday from sunrise to sunset to honor a fallen U.S. sailor.

The remains of WIlliam L. Kvidera, from Traer, have been returned home to his family. Kvidera died in 1941 when the USS Oklahoma was attacked by an aircraft at Pearl Harbor.

On July 3, 2018, the 22-year-old was accounted for.

Services will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer at 1 p.m. on Friday.
