The first egg hatched for the Decorah Eagles.

According to the Raptor Resource Project's Facebook page, D24 hatched sometime overnight. They say hatching is a process which begins from the inside out.

The Raptor Resource Project says in general, the Decorah eagles lay eggs in mid-February which hatch in late March to early April. The eaglets then stay in the next for 75 to 80 days, fledging in mid-June.

The Decorah eagles have previously laid 23 eggs.
