Fire destroys barn in rural Linn County

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Fire destroyed a barn in rural Linn County early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, the call came in just before 1 a.m. for a structure fire at 5522 Troy Mills Road, about two miles south of Troy Mills.

The Troy Mills Fire Department, Walker Fire Department, and Linn County Deputies responded to the call. They found the barn fully engulfed in flames upon arrival.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office said the property owner was not present when the fire started.

Firefighters have not yet determined a cause for the fire.

There were no injuries reported.
