Fareway campaign to give Food Bank of Iowa a dozen eggs for every two dozen bought
You can help the Food Bank of Iowa have eggs for people in need through a grocery store promotion.
Fareway and Iowa Egg Farmers are partnering up to help the homeless and people in need from December 17-24.
“We are proud to partner with Fareway on this donation to help the Food Bank of Iowa by providing eggs, an economical protein and essential food,” said Kevin Stiles, Executive Director with the Iowa Egg Council.
If you buy two dozen eggs at any Iowa Fareway location, a dozen eggs will automatically be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa.
The campaign says they are aiming to give back to people who are food insecure in Iowa communities.
Fareway CEO Reynolds Cramer says the event was a success last year.
Cramer said the Food Bank of Iowa will receive a dozen eggs for every two bought, up to a grand total of 21,600 dozen eggs.
