Hurts Donut Company in Bettendorf hosted the fundraiser Thursday for the families of Lieutenant Eric Hosette and Adam Cain.

Hosette was killed Saturday following an explosion while fighting a fire at the ADM plant in Clinton. Cain was seriously injured and is "fighting for his life" according to family members.

Firefighters from Davenport and Bettendorf volunteered during Thursday's fundraiser when more than 11,000 donuts were sold. The company said in a Facebook post the $37,653 would be shared by the firefighters' families.
