Dubuque man accused of torturing woman enters guilty pleas

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - A Dubuque man accused of attacking a woman over a three-day time frame pleaded guilty to kidnapping, willful injury and domestic abuse.

Lonnie Vandamme, Jr., appeared in court Friday morning.

In March, police said Vandamme, 44, beat a woman with a baseball bat and burned her with a torch. She had a broken rib and eye socket and burn marks in her groin area.

Sentencing will take place Jan. 16.
