DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) An estimated $30 makeover for Dubuque Senior High School could come in under budget.

The School Board received six bids for the construction and renovation projects. Four of those bids came in under the initial estimates.

The overhaul includes adding at two story cafeteria, a new gym and new administration offices.

The school board will choose a bid at their next meeting on July 20th.

Meanwhile, construction on a bus lane in front of the school is already underway.

"So with a new addition there will be a new main entrance to Senior and along Clarke Dr. is a bus lane that's being constructed to help adjust the traffic flow in the area," Director of School and Community for Dubuque Community School District Mike Cyze said.

The school board hopes construction starts on the new projects in August.

It estimates it'll take roughly two years to complete.
