Diesel locomotive catches fire in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Cedar Rapids Fire Department said it's investigating after a diesel locomotive caught fire.

It happened just after 4:50 p.m. Monday at ADM at 1425 60th Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids. Crews said they used 1,000 gallons of water as well as foam to put the fire out.

Fire officials said the fire caused about $1 million in damage.

No one was hurt.
