Cyclists take rainy ride across Iowa in 24 hours
A little over a dozen cyclists finished a ride across the state early Sunday morning. And they did it in just 24 hours.
It's called the Ride Across Iowa in a Day or RAID event. Twenty-eight participants started the rainy journey in Sioux City at 4 a.m. Saturday morning. And 17 finished in Dubuque Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The whole trip is 331 miles. The winner was Jesse Off who is from Arizona. He finished in 16 hours and 11 minutes.
This is the seventh year for the event.
