CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - Organizers of Coralville's Winterfest say calm weather will be helpful for their upcoming event.

This year will be Coralville's 12th annual Winterfest which is on January 13 at the Johnson County Historical Society. The festival started as a way to promote the Iowa River Landing.

This year's event includes crafts and games, live entertainment and a horse-drawn trolley.

Organizers said they'll be keeping an eye on the forecast.

"We've had it in some pretty dicey weather so we're not afraid of it but in the event that it is really bad outside, we will definitely make it known to all of our sources as soon as possible probably that early, early morning. "
