CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Build-A-Bear announced on their website that they distributed vouchers to people present in lines to be redeemed for a future purchase. They also said they are making vouchers available online for U.S. and Canada Build-A-Bear Bonus Club members who log into their account by July 15 at midnight.
Any vouchers related to the event will be honored until August 31, 2018.
The Build-A-Bear location at Coral Ridge Mall was set to be a part of a 'Pay Your Age' promotion on July 12, but due to the high demand, it has closed its promotion line for the day.
Earlier this morning, the mall posted that local authorities were requiring the mall to limit the lines and crowds due to safety concerns.
One person who was waiting in the line at Coral Ridge Mall told TV9 they and others who were in the line before the closure were given a $15 voucher due to the Build-A-Bear store closure.
In other malls across the country their stores also experienced long lines due to the high demand.

Build-A-Bear released a statement on their website and social media at 10 a.m. CST saying all lines were closed for the promotional event at locations due to safety concerns.
The store's website says: "We have closed lines in our U.S. stores. We understand some of our Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible."
