CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Dry and quiet weather will be the rule through the middle of next week. Temperatures will be bouncing around, though, and we'll see a few cold nights in there as well. Look for clouds to decrease today as cold high pressure builds in from the northwest.
Underneath this high pressure system, single digit lows are likely tonight. Even a light wind tomorrow morning may generate wind chills around zero or a few degrees below. This high pressure system will help keep any rain or snow well away from eastern Iowa this weekend, though a few clouds may occur at times.
Our next chance of precipitation remains on track somewhere in the Wednesday or Thursday time frame of next week, though this chance remains low simply due to how far away it is.
